Proses Penyelerasan Id, Ego, dan Superego dalam Film Life of Pi (2012)

The film Life of Pi (2012) tells a story about Pi Patel ’s search of the values of life through his extraordinary adventure throughout the ocean alongside a wild tiger named Richard Parker. In the film, the relationship between Pi Patel and Richard Parker is unique because both parties influence one another. To comprehend the message about human’s search of self in the film, the character Pi Patel and his relationship with Richard Parker is analyzed. Analysis will be done using Sigmund Freud ’s psychoanalytic perspective, by referring to the concept of id, ego, and superego.
